Dr Les Walkling will be holding one-day workshops in Sydney and Melbourne during November on Fine Art digital printing.
Covering all aspects of the digital imaging workflow, each workshop will provide tuition on colour managed workflows from capture to print, file optimisation in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, colour balancing and editing, black and white conversions and toning, sharpening strategies and image resizing. Images will be printed with the latest Epson Pro 4900 A2 roll printer and inks and users will gain insights into soft proofing, printer drivers compared with RIPs, evaluating paper and print quality and viewing, handling and storage of prints.
Each participant will share a Macintosh connected to a Eizo 24 Inch ColorEdge Monitor networked to two Epson Stylus Pro 4900 A2 roll paper Printers, one printing on Canson Platine and the other on Canson Rag Photographique fine art 310gsm inkjet papers. All the paper and ink is supplied free of charge. The fee for each workshop is $295 and registrants are required to bring a USB thumb-drive with several images for printing.
The Melbourne workshop will be held on 20 November at Glow Studios, 269 – 275 Abbotsford Street, North Melbourne. The Sydney venue is Epson Australia, 3 Talavera Road, North Ryde on 27 November.Registration is at 10 a.m. for both venues.
