Melbourne based production company, Safari, has launched ‘Arrival’, an exhibition of 18 portraits captured on a single evening at Melbourne International Airport.
The display, which was inspired by the hours Safari spend in-transit around the world on film shoots, will be on show until June 30 in the Melbourne International Airport Arrivals Hall and the imagery and stories can be viewed here.
The portraits celebrate diversity and the warmth of human connection between travellers and their loved ones. Among the pictures is one of a family that turned up with 49 relatives to greet their Lebanese grandparents who were arriving in Australia for the first time. The group plans to take the ‘Arrival’ concept global, featuring 12 different locations over 12 months. They are currently seeking brand partners to help amplify the project and introduce it to a broader audience.
