Parrtjima, the only Aboriginal light festival of its kind, returns to Mparntwe (Alice Springs) and presents a wealth of opportunities for photographers.
NOTE: the festival has been pushed back to 11-20 September 2020.
The festival presents the stories of the oldest continuous living culture on Earth through a combination of technology, music, story-telling and art.
This year, the theme is “Lifting Our Spirits” and the festival will focus upon water, the cosmos and Country.
The diverse program will include nightly light shows across two kilometers of the majestic MacDonnell Ranges, large sculptural installations in the desert, interactive workshops and a national line-up of artists and performers.
There will also be a series of ‘Deep Learning’ conversations with writers, academics and storytellers.
