A new solo exhibition, Mapping the Immeasurable by award-winning multidisciplinary artist Liam Benson opens on 15 July at Artereal Gallery in the Sydney suburb of Rozelle.

In the first solo exhibition since his major Bella Room commission at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in 2019, Benson’s Mapping the Immeasurable reflects on dilemmas, personal and universal, of Benson’s own and of Australia’s fraught dual histories. The photographs and embroideries on display challenge our engrained practice of seeing the world through a Colonial lens and ask us to consider how Australia’s brutal past is still informing who we are today..
The exhibition will run from 15 July to 8 August 2020. The gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. It is located at 747 Darlign Street, Rozelle, NSW 2039.
