The Jan Manton Gallery in Brisbane will host an exhibition of images by Joachim Froese, whose work was profiled in the current issue of Photo Review magazine.
Titled Turned Towards the Firmament, the exhibition will run from 23 January to 17 February 2024 at the Jan Manton Gallery at 54 Vernon Terrace, Teneriffe.
The exhibition presents two related bodies of experimental work which combine different forms of cutting edge digital capture with salt printing, the historic process developed by William Henry Fox in the late 1830s.
The exhibition is accompanied by an essay by Andrés Mario Zérvigon, Professor for the History of Photography at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and on Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. The opening is scheduled for Friday, 2 February 2024, from 6 – 8 pm.
