The talks are being run in conjunction with the NGV Melbourne Art Book Fair, which is presented as part of Melbourne Design Week and showcases some of the world’s best art and design publications.
At the heart of the current exhibition is Considered Environment: the Photobooks of Yukio Tabuchi and Camera Mainichi, curated by Rohan Hutchinson.
Panel talks on 26 March will include a discussion on this event featuring artist / publisher Rohan Hutchinson, photobook creator and photographer Yanni Florence, photographer and writer Emma Phillips, and DesignOffice Creative Director Mark Simpson plus a talk titled Working photographically, thinking textually from the Melbourne Photobook Collective and the launch of Rod McNicol: A Portrait with guest speaker, photo-historian and curator Gael Newton AM.
