The 6th edition of Ballarat International Foto Biennale’s popular fundraiser Yellow Dot Exhibition returns in October, giving collectors the chance to purchase original artwork.
The exhibition contains work by more than 60 photographers from across Australian and the globe, who have donated images. All artworks are printed on museum quality A3 archival paper. Participating artists include: Zoë Croggon (Maddocks Prize winner 2019); Liss Fenwick (Fineman New Photograph Award winner 2021); Mia Mala McDonald (Martin Kantor Portrait Prize winner 2021); Alexander Martino (Open Program winner 2021) and Dave Tacon (Walkley Award winner). Each $180 Yellow Dot purchased provides the chance to acquire one artwork. Here’s how it works:
- All artworks are exhibited without the artist’s name.
- For each individual Yellow Dot ticket you purchase you will receive a number.
- Numbers will be randomly drawn. When your number is called you will be able to select an artwork from those available in the exhibition.
The exhibition opening takes place at Mitchell Harris Wines, 38 Doveton Street, North Ballarat at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday 6 October and at the Alpha60 Chapter House concept store, Level 2/195 Flinders Lane, Melbourne on Thursday 27 October at 6:00 p.m. Click here for more information.
