The Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) has released a list of artists whose work will be exhibited in the up-coming show commemorating the Prahran College of Advanced Education.

The Basement: Prahran College (1968-1981) – exhibition at MAPh Gallery until 25 May, 2025.

Featuring the work of 58 artists, The basement: photography from Prahran College (1968–1981), which opens on 1 March, displays rare vintage prints from the late 1960s through to the early 1980s. The exhibition presents more than 250 photographs, representing key archival ephemera and folio work from students and teachers of photography at the College. It was a period where new discussions developed quickly around the possibilities of what photography could be.

The basement is curated by Angela Connor, MAPh Senior Curator, and Stella Loftus-Hills, MAPh Curator.

The exhibition will run until 25 May, 2025.
