Photographs from the 2023 Nikon-Walkley Press Photography Competition will go on display at the State Library of NSW on Saturday October 21 before touring other cities.
One on the images on display is The Mandalorian: The Mandalorian (cosplayer Heath Martin) takes Grogu shopping. Martin planned to celebrate Star Wars Day, May 4, as the Mandalorian and to perform his daily domestic tasks in costume.
The Walkley Awards have recognised excellence across all media since 1956, when the first awards were presented in five categories. The 2023 finalists in the press photography category are featured in this exhibition, which encompasses a range of subjects – from politicians to everyday folk, from our backyards to the furthest corners of the globe.
