Featuring the eight-colour Epson UltraChrome HG2 pigment ink set, which includes red and orange inks for deeper reds, the SureColor SC-P405 uses Epson’s MicroPiezo AMC eight-channel print head technology, based upon a one-inch-wide print head with a 1.5 pl minimum droplet size and ink-repelling coating for more accurate dot placement and reduced maintenance. This enables it to create consistent output with smooth gradations and a professional photo look and feel.
It offers advanced media handling, with a front-in and front-out paper path and roll paper support. Support for borderless printing is available right up to A3+ (13″x19″) size on a wide variety of glossy, matte and fine art papers. In addition, custom images can be created and printed directly onto canvas, board and CD/DVDs. The SureColor SC-P405is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems and also offers extensive connectivity options, making it easy to print from a home office or studio via USB, Wireless, or Ethernet.
The printer comes with new Epson Print Layout software, which works in conjunction with popular photo editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Nikon ViewNX-i to enable fast and flexible output to suit a wide variety of print and display requirements. Graphics and photos can be formatted for printing either as a single image or as a compound image using a range of pre-designed templates and/or custom settings. It also provides soft proofing functionality, supports custom media registration and includes an easy to use tool for panoramic photo printing.
The Epson SureColor SC-P405 will commence shipping late October for AU$1,099 (RRP). For more information go to: www.epson.com.au.
