September 5, 2008: Epson has released the stylish Epson Stylus T20, an affordable and economical entry-level A4 all-purpose inkjet single-function printer that produces high quality photo and document printing for home users.
Priced at $59, the Stylus T20 features Epson’s DURABrite Ultra ink, which produces glossy photos and sharp text printing with high quality results on a range of papers. DURABrite Ultra ink is resistant to smudging, fading and water and has up to 120 years lightfastness on selected Epson papers. The new printer offers printing speeds of up to 26 black and white A4 pages per minute and up to 14 colour A4 pages per minute.
Epson’s MicroPiezo print head technology produces variable sized ink droplets as small as 4 picolitres for more precise image reproduction and colour gradation. A resolution of up to 5760 optimised dpi is supported, allowing images and text to be printed with fine detail and accuracy. The T20 provides users with extra value for money by giving the choice of individual colour standard or Economy ink cartridges, with prices starting from $8.99. By replacing only the ink cartridge that has been used, Epson provides consumers with an economical printing solution.
The T20’s driver includes Epson PhotoEnhance which automatically adjusts the colour balance to allow for the different requirements of landscapes or people, and to correct problems with images that have been backlit, over-exposed or suffer from poor colour capture. It also includes advanced face detection which automatically distinguishes people from scenery and corrects the colour balance to ensure natural skin tones. The printer is supplied with a USB cable for immediate out-of box use.
