Epson Australia has added two new all-in-one printers to its Expression Premium Photo range with the release of the new XP-6000 and XP-8500 models.

Both models accept paper sizes up to A4 and include printing, scanning and copy facilities in one unit. They also support automatic double-sided printing and are capable of printing on suitable CDs and DVDs. They are also compatible with Wi-Fi Direct, AirPrint and Google Cloud Print for wireless printing, copying and scanning. The XP-6000 is a four-colour model that features a new compact design and boasts faster speeds of 15.8 ppm (black) and 11.3 ppm (colour). It comes with a 2.4-inch LCD screen, a 100 sheet input first tray and 20 sheet input second tray and a 50-sheet output capacity.
The XP-8500 offers all that the XP-6000 does but has a 2.7-inch LCD screen and offers a six-colour printing solution, with light cyan and light magenta inks added to the basic four-colour set. With speeds of 9.5 ppm (black) and 9 ppm (colour) and a yield of 500 (black) and 830 (colour) with XL sizes the XP-8500 is a serious player in this market.
