Canon Australia has launched the second Canon EOS Festival of Photography, which brings four Canon-sponsored exhibitions to Sydney and Brisbane.

 

May 6, 2011: Canon Australia has launched the second Canon EOS Festival of Photography, which brings four Canon-sponsored exhibitions to Sydney and Brisbane.
The Festival runs for three months from 5 May to 27 July 2011 and includes: Head On Photo Festival; Canon AIPP Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPAs); World Press Photo (WPP); and, The Sydney Morning Herald Photos – 1440: A Day, a Minute, a Moment exhibition.
Australian audiences have more options to get involved, with three festival-themed competitions running concurrently through the Canon Australia Facebook page. Further to visiting the exhibitions, the public is encouraged to put their own skills to the test – with the opportunity to win great prizes. The twenty most popular entrants of each competition will be judged by a Canon jury to determine the ultimate winners.
The most popular entry as voted by the Facebook community, will win the People’s Choice Award. The main prize for each competition is a Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR cameras plus an 18-55mm lens valued at RRP$1,749; and for the People’s Choice Award winner, a Canon PowerShot G12 valued at RRP$799.
