Reports have appeared on a number of overseas websites in the second week of January, claiming that Canon”s the D60 is being discontinued. We have contacted Canon Australia, which is unable to make a definitive comment at this stage.

 

January 2003: Reports have appeared on a number of overseas websites in the second week of January, claiming that Canon”s the D60 is being discontinued. We have contacted Canon Australia, which is unable to make a definitive comment at this stage.

However, the company plans to make several important announcements at the PMA International Trade Show at the beginning of March. A Canon Australia representative has assured us that “a large number” of D60s were supplied to the local market in December, so “it is generally still in good supply in the reseller channel”.
