Eizo makes home printing easier

The new Eizo Quick Color Match software was developed in collaboration with Adobe, Canon and Epson as an automatic solution for adjusting monitor, retouching software and printer settings so users can reproduce the colours they see on the monitor screen in their prints. It can save photographers time and money by enabling prints to be made correctly on the first attempt.

It requires a suitable monitor, selected from Eizo’s range; the new ColorEdge CS2420 and CS2730 models are supported, along with the CS230, CS270, CX241, CX271, CG247 and CG277 models. These monitors can display 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space so images captured with this mode can be displayed correctly. They also display smooth gradations and have uniform brightness and colours controls. The software works with the latest Windows and Mac OS computers and the Canon PIXMA PRO-1, PRO-1O, PRO-100, PRO10S and PRO-100S printers and the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 as well as the Epson SC-P600, SC-P800, SC-P440, Stylus Photo R3000 and Stylus Pro R2000 models.

Recommended retouching software includes Adobe Photoshop CC/CS6, Photoshop Lightroom and Photoshop Elements.  Canon’s Digital Photo Professional and Nikon ViewNX-I are also supported. The software works through the printer driver and the uses Canon Print StudioPro Ver. 2.1.0 plug-in for Canon printers or Epson Print Layout Ver. 1.3.1 with the Epson printers. Both plug-ins are available from the manufacturers’ websites. To find the Epson plug-in you must select the printer category and then the printer then download Print Layout 1.3.1 from within the printer’s page.
