The latest version of DXO Optics Pro is now available for Mac and Windows.
DxO Optics Pro 8 represents a major new release of this popular image quality processing software, providing optimised tools for automatically adjusting contrast and light, advanced optical corrections and finer and more precise colour management. The software also integrates tools for automatic RAW and JPEG image processing, including optical and geometrical corrections, exposure and contrast, noise reduction and colour and detail preservation.
New DxO Smart Lighting brightens photos by optimising contrast and lighting, intelligently adapting to image content and allowing users to easily adjust image contrast with a single slider. It automatically recovers details both in highlights and shadows under extreme shooting conditions. For more advanced users, DxO Optics Pro 8 offers a new Selective tone tool for applying precise corrections separately to highlights, midtones, and dark zones.
The Standard and Elite editions of DxO Optics Pro 8 for Mac and Windows are available now for US$99 and US$199 respectively. Photographers who have purchased a DxO Optics Pro 7 license on or after September 1, 2012 are eligible for a free upgrade to version 8. Other users can take advantage of a special discount on all upgrades from now until November 15, 2012, directly from their customer account.
