DxO Labs has announced the immediate availability of its image processing software, DxO Optics Pro v8.2 and also DxO FilmPack 4, a major new version of its analog film simulation and creative effects software.
The update for Mac and Windows allows DxO Optics Pro 8 to support raw files from the Canon EOS 100D, Sony SLT-A58 and Ricoh GR cameras and also incorporate all of the new features of DxO FilmPack 4 as a plugin. The Standard and Elite editions of DxO Optics Pro v8.2 for Mac and Windows are available in the DxO Labs online store (shop.dxo.com) and at photo resellers at a special discount until June 30, 2013. The Standard Ediution will be priced at US$99 instead of US$169, while the Elite Edition will be US$199 instead of US$299.
The latest version of DxO FilmPack 4 adds 65 aesthetically-pleasing renderings and new effects to help photographers give their photos greater emotional impact as well as a unique style, whether in colour or in black and white. DxO FilmPack 4 is being offered at a special discount until the end of June from the DxO Labs online store (shop.dxo.com). The Essential Edition is available for US$49 instead of US$79, while the Expert Edition is US$99 instead of US$129.
Photographers who purchased licenses for earlier editions on or after 1 September (for DxO Optics Pro v8.2) or on or after March 1, 2013 (for DxO FilmPack 4) are entitled to a free upgrade to version 4. Other customers are entitled to a special discount on their upgrade directly from their client account, through June 30, 2013. Fully-functional trial versions of both applications, good for one month, are available on the DxO Labs website (http://www.dxo.com/intl/photo/free_trial_version).
