Reportage, Australia’s leading documentary photography festival, will be a featured event in Vivid Sydney, the largest celebration of light, music and ideas in the Southern Hemisphere.

Exhibitions of works by the world’s leading documentary photographers will be displayed through large-scale outdoor projections, exhibitions, talks and workshops between 25 May and 13 June. One of Australia’s most eminent documentary photographers and original co-founders of the festival, Stephen Dupont returns to the festival as Director for 2013. Dupont will curate displays of work from more than fifty photographers with themes ranging from Cuba to Bob Marley, to the American Presidents and to Peace.

Between 31 May  and 2 June  the photo industry will sponsor an event called  ‘The Digital Playground’ in the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Sydney’s Circular Quay as part of the Vivid Festival. Details are sketchy at present but it promises to include exhibits, talks, workshops and ‘pop-up events’, sponsored by ‘key photo imaging, technology and lifestyle brands.’ All exhibitions and some presentations will be free and open to members of the public.
