May 2, 2007: Noosa Regional Gallery is seeking up to five photographers to document Floating Land, a site-specific sculpture and art event that takes place from 16-24 June.
Floating Land involves local, national and international artists in producing installation and sculptural pieces that are created within Noosa’s natural environment. A selection of photos will be compiled and published in a form to be decided after the event. This may comprise anything from a book to a series of cards, but will definitely include a photo essay on the Gallery’s newly developed website. All work will be credited to the photographer and a profile of each photographer will be included in the eventual ‘publication’.
Photographers who are interested in the project must submit a portfolio to the Noose Regional Gallery by close of business on 8 May. A fee of $500 will be paid to each photographer selected. Accommodation in Noose will be provided for photographers who live outside the Sunshine Coast region.
