The latest addition to DJI’s popular Osmo series of mobile products and accessories is the Osmo Mobile 3, a compact, foldable stabiliser for mobile phones.

The most travel-friendly Osmo Mobile to date, Osmo Mobile 3 weighs only 405 grams and folds down to a compact 157 x 130 x 46 mm size. It features a completely new design as well as locking mechanisms to ensure effortless transportation and offers 15 hours of battery life. Convenient buttons on the handle enable users to control the gimbal’s movement and access key features. Pressing the Mode (M) button twice engages Quick Roll, which rotates the orientation from portrait to landscape without the need to remove the mobile device. Easy access to the charging and audio ports allows users to charge the device or use external mics. A trigger helps manoeuvre the gimbal by locking orientation. By using ActiveTrack, users can tap the trigger once, and Osmo Mobile 3 will begin tracking while keeping the subject centred within the frame. Zoom in and out with the dedicated zoom slider on the side of the stabiliser and users have the option to customise zoom speed.
Osmo Mobile 3 uses the advanced DJI Mimo app to connect to the device with Bluetooth 5.0 and take advantage of pre-programmed Story, Sport, ActiveTrack 3.0, TimeLapse and MotionLapse modes as well as Gesture Control, panorama and slow motion settings. Osmo Mobile 3 is available in two packages starting at AU$159 for the standard version which includes Osmo Mobile 3, a wrist strap, storage pouch and anti-slip pads or AU$189, which adds the Osmo Grip Tripod and the Osmo Carrying Case.
