Yesterday (Friday) a few places were still up for grabs, particularly for the six Sunday sessions and visitors to Luna Park may be able to squeeze in at the last moment. Details of the presenters and their session times can be found at http://www.thedigitalplayground.com.au/speakers-2/, although online bookings have closed .
Visitors to The Digital Playground can tour the stands of the leading equipment distributors and service providers in the photo industry and gain hands-on experience with the latest gear. The Olympus stand has an impressive display of the complete range of lenses available for Micro Four Thirds cameras, which is well worth seeing. Canon and Nikon are showcasing their latest cameras and lenses and several companies are offering discounts on key products.

On the mezzanine floor above the show, the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) is judging submissions for its annual APPA awards. Visitors can sit in on these sessions and learn what makes a winning print in various categories. An exhibition of winning prints is on display near the judging rooms.
Each day, two registered visitor names will be drawn at random to receive photographic equipment with a value of up to $3,900 per prize. Entry is simply by attending the trade show and filling out an online form on several of the on-site iPad kiosks. The total prize pool is valued at $15,000. Access to the site is easy by train (Milson’s Point) or ferry and plenty of car parking is within reach. Details can be found at lunaparksydney.com/getting-here.
