 September 5, 2006: Corel has released Snapfire Plus, an easy-to-use software application with facilities for retouching digital photos, sharing them in new, entertaining ways and archiving image collections. Using technology developed for Corel Paint Shop Pro, Snapfire Plus provides all the functions users need to organise, enhance and share digital image files plus easy-to-use retouching tools, one-click photo fixes and video editing controls. Cropping, straightening and rotating facilities are provided, along with “Makeover Tools” that include a blemish remover, teeth whitener and suntan brush. A convenient on-screen Message Centre delivers quick tips, photo ideas, and tutorials that guide users to the various features available to them. These messages can be updated automatically through the Web, and also include product news and special offers. Snapfire Plus also contains a selection of creative templates that include calendars, cards, or album pages and users can create slideshows with music and cool transitions. Quick printing and emailing facilities are also provided, along with the PhotoSafe automatic back-up system. Snapfire Plus is designed for Windows PCs running Windows XP (with SP2).
