The Camera Journal Press Club of Japan (CJPC) has presented awards to winners of its annual Camera Grand Prix competition.
The presentations follow the announcement of the annual TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) awards. The CJPC, which comprises editorial staff from Japan’s 10 major camera/photographic journals, has a collaborative agreement with TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) whereby they vote on each other’s awards.
Not surprisingly, Nikon’s retro-styled Df DSLR, which also won the Best Premium Camera section of the TIPA awards, took out the top award in the premium camera category. It also received the Readers’ Award. Nikon also won the premium award for the lens category with its AF-S Nikkor 58mm f/1.4G lens. The Camera Journal Press Club Editors’ Awards went to the Olympus OM-D M-1, the Canon EOS 70D and the Ricoh Theta.
