March 25, 2008: Olympus Imaging Australia has recruited Australian personalities from the world of fashion, food, film and sports to create a photographic collection which will be auctioned to raise funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation.
Participants include Cam Hollows, Ernie Dingo, Matt Moran, Miranda Kerr, Susie O’Neill and Wayne Cooper, who were each loaned a Mju 1020 digital compact camera and asked to photograph the things that they enjoy in life, providing a rare insight into their personal lives. The results will be auctioned at an event in the Sydney CBD on the evening of Thursday, 17 April, 2008.
All money raised through the auction of photographs will be donated to The Fred Hollows Foundation, an organisation that is dedicated to eradicating avoidable blindness in developing world countries where it works and to improving the health outcomes and life expectancy of Indigenous Australians.
