Three winners have been announced for the inaugural Ted’s Cameras Celebrate Your City photo competition, which attracted more than 5,000 entries.

 

October 12, 2010: Three winners have been announced for the inaugural Ted’s Cameras Celebrate Your City photo competition, which attracted more than 5,000 entries.
Geoffrey Jones a computer technician from Canberra picked up first place with a night photograph of the Commonwealth Bridge that captures Canberra’s architecture. Nano Kato a high school student from Brisbane took second place with a picture of one of Brisbane’s famous icons, the Wheel of Brisbane, which was also taken at night. Kevin Ellistore, a Southbank Institute of Technology student, also from Brisbane was awarded third place for a photograph of the bright lights of Brisbane at night.

The winning images were selected from more than 5,000 entries by online public voting. These photographs – and other images submitted for the competition – can be seen in a dedicated online gallery at www.teds.com.au.
