December 23, 2005: Carl Zeiss will produce a new series of ZF lenses for the Nikon F mount, according to information disclosed in a ‘teaser’ on the company’s website.
The company plans to release details of the new lenses progressively, with the first formal announcement appearing at http://www.zeiss.com/C12567A8003B58B9?Open on Wednesday, 28 December and full product information scheduled for disclosure on 18 January. Carl Zeiss already manufacturers specialist lenses for Contax, Hasselblad, Sony, Rollei, Alpa and Arri cameras and there is (unconfirmed) speculation that it may also consider producing lenses for other SLR mounts.
