Canto Cumulus 8.6, which has just been released, represents a major upgrade to the company’s professional digital asset management product line.
The new release provides more than 50 enhancements, includingas File System Versioning & Automation and Web Administration. Administrators can now set upversioning on the file system through the Cumulus Server Console. Thisautomated process allows a new version to be created whenever an asset isupdated. Users can now modify the latest version without checking out whenworking directly in the file system.
Web administration is now possible with the Web ServerConsole enabling administrators to modify settings or user profiles remotely. TheWeb Server Console also makes it easy to easily modify sites without requiring XMLknowledge. Access to the Sites Configurator can be managed via userpermissions.
