Canon has released an updated version of its bundled raw file processing software, Digital Photo Professional.
Version 4.3.0 adds support for the following cameras: EOS 1200D, EOS 60D and EOS 60Da, EOS M, EOS M2 plus the PowerShot G7 X and PowerShot G1 X Mark II. It also provides support for 64-bit native environments, which mean faster processing on most computers and includes two critical fixes, including a phenomenon in which the picture style set on the camera is not transferred to Digital Photo Professional properly and a phenomenon in which the copy and paste command using keyboard shortcuts cannot be used for the folder name. Other improvements include a more user-friendly interface, expanded tonality through improved highlight and shadow recovery, the ability to apply Auto Lighting Optimiser adjustments to JPEG files, better integration with EOS Utility 3 software and support for movie playback.
Digital Photo Professional v.4.3.0 can be downloaded from Canon Europe’s support pages by selecting the camera’s name from the list at http://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/product_ranges/cameras/eos/.
