May 9, 2007: Canon will release a new High Definition Video camcorder, the HR10, which offers many of the features of the recent HV20 model but stored video clips and still images on an 8cm DVD.
Like the HV20, the HR10 has a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD with a wide viewing angle and extended colour gamut that displays colours with minimal darkening or distortion under a wide range of shooting conditions. It also includes the 24p Cine Mode, which allows photographers to achieve a professional “film-like” look by changing the camcorder’s frame rate to the same frame rate as movie film. This setting also changes the colour and tonal characteristics of the video clips to simulate the look and feel of a theatrical film. For added flexibility, these settings can be used together or independently. |
