March 2003: The new Canon MVX150i MiniDV camcorder combines a 1.3 megapixel sensor with a high-quality Canon 16x optical zoom lens (with 320x digital zooming and image stabilisation).

Light and slim, this new model features a fully adjustable 3.5 inch colour LCD screen and colour viewfinder and offers the features and functions required by video enthusiasts.
Video recordings are captured at 850,000-pixel resolution, with high picture quality ensured by Canon’s new proprietary MACS (Multi Architecture Camera System) camera-signal processing LSI (large-scale integrated circuit), which optimises colour processing for both tape and card capture. The MVX150i c offers an attractive range of features, including: seven programmed auto exposure recording modes; Super Night Mode technology; 18 creative digital effects; selectable 3-frame Auto Focus, continuous shooting up to three frames per second, Auto Exposure Bracketing for still shots and Canon’s ‘My Camera’ function for customisation of select camera features.
Still images can be recorded to an SD card and an 8MB SD memory card is supplied with the camcorder. The MVX150i also supports Direct Photo Printing with selected Canon printers and comes with both USB and FireWire interfaces. It also has an Advanced Accessory Shoe for fitting an optional video light or directional microphone and si supplied with a high-capacity battery pack and comprehensive Canon DV software suite.
