Canon will host REPORTAGE 2003 – Australia’s leading festival for photojournalism and documentary photography – at Sydney’s Wharf 2 Theatre, Walsh Bay from 5 to 7 June (inclusive).

 

May 2003: Canon will host REPORTAGE 2003 – Australia’s leading festival for photojournalism and documentary photography – at Sydney’s Wharf 2 Theatre, Walsh Bay from 5 to 7 June (inclusive).
The event will features a series of evening projections of photographic essays on the big screen, showcasing leading Australian and international photographers. Presentations will include coverage of the upheaval in Iraq, the Canberra bushfires and a snapshot of life in Cuba. Canon Reportage 2003 will give members of the public the chance to view images that have not been previously seen, either because they have never been published or a suitable forum has not existed.
An associated photographic exhibition “21 Years of Network Photographers” will be set up on the mezzanine level of the Wharf 2 Theatre, charting the work of photographers from the London-based Network agency which specialises in humanitarian topics.
