The FlexiZone AF/AE focus allows users to select almost any focal point within the frame. Four flash options allow customised flash photography and three light metering modes ensure accurate exposure. Sensitivity can be set from ISO 50 to 400, allowing the camera to be used in almost any conditions.
The G5 uses iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) technology to provide faster and more accurate auto focus, auto exposure and automatic white balance. It also includes white balance pre-sets plus a custom white balance mode. Other features include an Intelligent Orientation Sensor, which detects when images are taken vertically and displays them with the correct orientation plus a Direct Print function that allows shots to be printed without a PC.
The PowerShot G5 comes with a durable black body. It forms the heart of an integrated system that includes a comprehensive suite of optional accessories, including lenses, filters and flash units. The new model is expected to retail for $1,599. Details can be obtained from Canon by phoning 1800 021 167 or by visiting the Canon web site at www.canon.com.au
