The company’s main focus was on printers, with three specialised ‘wide format’ A3+ photo printers going on show. Top of the range is the i9100, which incorporates six individual ink tank and delivers 4800dpi resolution plus borderless photo printing all the way to A3+ size. The same resolution is offered by the i6500, which uses four individual ink tanks and also features borderless printing. Bigger prints and better quality are promised by the i6100 model, which produces five picolitre ink droplets and delivers print speeds up to 12 A4 ppm.
Fast affordable photo and document printing are promised by the new i450 and i470D

Printers, which can produce two picolitre ink droplets, and offer 4800dpi borderless printing to A4 size. The i470D can print directly from most camera memory cards without needing an adaptor. Direct printing is also a feature of the new CP-200 and CP-300 models, which are compact and portable and can output to sticker paper. The CP-300 also ships with a rechargeable battery pack for printing on the go.
Canon’s new multi-function printer/copier/scanner models also feature direct printing from a digital camera’s memory card and accept five varieties of cards without requiring a computer connection. The imageCLASS MP700 promises photo quality output, while the imageCLASS MP730 adds fax capabilities.
One new digital still camera and one MiniDV camcorder have been added to Canon’s existing line-up. The PowerShot Digital IXUS II is the smallest and lightest IXUS in the Canon range and combines a 3.2 Megapixel CCD and 2x optical zoom lens with a host of advanced features. The MV6i MC is a multimedia camcorder with an 800,000 pixel CCD sensor and 10x optical zoom lens. It features DIGIC DV signal processing and can double as a webcam when linked with a computer.
