: The final showing of the winning photographs in the 2003 Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA) is on view at the Upstairs Gallery of The Bathers’ Pavilion on the Esplanade, Balmoral.
The exhibition, which runs until April 26, showcases more than 90 winning images in Australia’s most prestigious photographic competition, representing the very best of contemporary Australian photography. It is free of charge to the public. Over the last 12 months, the exhibition has travelled around Australia’s capital cities and regional areas to arrive in Sydney before the 2004 awards on 24 May. Kara Rosenlund was judged the overall winner of the 2003 Canon Australian Professional Photographer of the Year Awards. 21 years old at the time of competition, Kara is the youngest winner in the award’s history to date.

AIPP in association with Canon Australia will announce the 2004 winners on Monday, 24 May at the 28th Australian Professional Photography Awards in Sydney. Touring dates and locations for the 2004 winners’ exhibition will be released following the award night.
