August 13, 2009: Canon will add the new SELPHY CP780 printer to its line-up of snapshot printers next month.
Designed as a fast and easily portable snapshot printer for everyday users, the SELPHY CP780 is smaller than an average lunch box and priced at only $199. Key features of the new model include a 2.5-inch TFT colour LCD viewing screen, support for direct printing from both memory cards and PictBridge compatible cameras and camera-phones and automatic correction of red-eyes in flash shots plus an Auto Image Correction function that adjusts brightness to produce correctly-exposed prints.
The SELPHY CP780 produces bright and colourful prints with photo lab quality and lightfastness of up to 100 years if stored correctly in a photo album. Printign times average approximately 47 seconds/print. The new model will be released initially in bright, lipstick pink, with blue and silver colours to follow. An optional battery pack is available to support mains-free operation. For more information, visit www.canon.com.au.
