: Canon has released details of its i9950 Bubble Jet printer, the first desktop A3+ photo printer to use Canon’s ChromaPLUS eight-colour ink system.
The i9950 Bubble Jet is both Direct Print and PictBridge compatible, allowing users to print straight from the camera via a USB cable. No computer is required. It also allows printing directly onto printable CDs/DVDs. This means disks can have thumbnail images and text printed on them, making it easy to identify the files they contain, an invaluable facility for archiving image and video files. Optimal results are obtained with Canon’s high quality photo papers through a synergy of printing and paper technologies, including accurate colour reproduction through the printer’s Colour Management system. Users can print borderless photos in 10 x 15 cm, 13 x 18 cm, A4, A3 and A3+ sizes.
