The MVX20i and MVX25i also feature the original Canon video lens design. A double-sided aspherical element ensures optimal colour balance is achieved with low image distortion recorded. This element also ensures that consistent sharpness is maintained in all images captured. Advanced capture functions include a built-in flash, selectable focus points, auto exposure bracketing and continuous shooting for up to five frames/second. Both cameras are PictBridge compatible and both support high-resolution 16:9 wide-screen recording for high quality full screen playback on wide-screen televisions. The MVX25i features a special Super Night Mode that can produce high-quality video recordings down to 0 lux. When the camera is operated in this mode, a white LED assist lamp provides additional illumination. It also includes a Manual Audio Level Control, which was previously found only on prosumer DVCs. Both models can accept a huge range of optional accessories, including lenses, microphones, lights and battery packs. They will go on sale in July 2004. Pricing has yet to be confirmed. Details will be posted at www.canon.com.au. Phone enquiries can be made on 1800 021 167.
