Bookings have opened for this year’s Orpheus Island Photography Workshop, a seven-day residential course run by Dr. Les Walkling at the James Cook University Orpheus Research Station.

This is the eleventh year these workshops have been run for professional and enthusiast/non-professional photographers. Award-winning professional photographer, Christian Fletcher, will be a co-presenter at these workshops, which take place between 15 and 21 August 2015 on a tropical island fringed by coral reefs. As well as gaining in-depth knowledge of Photoshop and Lightroom, colour management and the fine art of digital printing, participants will be able to attend field trips and break-away sessions and practice techniques they have learned in hands-on sessions in the afternoons and evenings.

The  Orpheus Island Research Station  (OIRS)  is limited to only 40 guests.   This workshop is very popular and is likely to book out this year well in advance. An all-inclusive ex-Townsville fee of AU$3210 applies ($2820 for AIPP   and ACMP members or $2140 for students). Register  for this workshop at:  www.leswalkling.com/bookings/
