The Ballarat International Foto Biennale (BIFB) has announced details of this year’s Portfolio Review Program, which will be held over two days: Sunday 18 August and Monday 19 August 2013.

The program, which is suitable for photographers of all levels, gives participants a great opportunity to have work critiqued by industry professionals and gain some creative direction advice. The reviews will be held at the Art Gallery of Ballarat Annexe. Each year one of applicants to the portfolio reviewers is selected for the best work and invited to present their work for consideration in the core program for the following festival.

Photographers (candidates) pay for four or eight, 20 minute, one-to-one sessions with the reviewers of their choice to show their work for feedback and advice. The fees for BIFB’13 Portfolio Review sessions are: $140 for one day including four x 20 minute sessions or $220 for two days including 8 x 20 minute sessions.

– Jeff Moorfoot – Festival Director at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale
– Moshe Rosenzvieg – Festival Director at Head On Sydney
– Madeleine Say – Picture Librarian at the State Library of Victoria
– Michael Silver – founder and owner of PhotoNet Gallery
– Elisabeth Zeilon (Sweden) – Core program artist.
