June 9, 2007: Bibble Labs has announced version 4.9.8 of its “Pro” and “Lite” raw Workflow software, which adds support for a number of recently-released cameras and includes broader tethered shooting support and processing of Fujifilm’s Wide Dynamic Range and Canon’s new sRAW format.
New cameras added in this release include Canon 1D Mark III, Fujifilm S5 Pro, Nikon D40x, Olympus E-510, E-410, and SP500 UZ and Panasonic FZ8. This release also adds tethered shooting support for newer Canon cameras (Windows Vista and Intel Mac) and Fuji S5 (Windows). Support for Fujifilm’s Wide Dynamic Range technology is partnered with Bibble’s advanced Highlight Recovery and Fill Light tools and the included Noise Ninja technology opens a new realm of low-light and available light shooting situations to digital photographers who shoot raw files. Other features of the latest release include Perfectly Clear automated image optimisation and the industry’s only RAW-Level plug-in interface. The Bibble Pro plug-in for Adobe Photoshop supports CS2, CS, and version 7 ø¢â‚¬” providing native access to the latest camera formats otherwise inaccessible in these older versions of Photoshop.
Like its preceding releases, this latest update is free for all current Bibble 4 customers. Bibble is available in both “Pro” (US$129.95) and “Lite” (US$69.95) versions for Windows, Macintosh (PPC/Intel as a Universal Binary) and Linux.
