Finalists in the Nikon-Walkley Press Photography Awards for 2016 will go on display at the State Library of NSW on Thursday 13 October.

The annual awards recognise visual journalists producing still photography for any platform.
Criteria include storytelling, courage, public impact, creativity, innovative use of technology, technical ability and resourcefulness.
The exhibition will be on show in the Metcalfe Auditorium at the State Library of NSW, Macquarie St, Sydney until Sunday, 27 November, 2016. Entry is free.
An exhibition of winning images will also be held at the ABC in Brisbane at 114 Grey Street, South Brisbane, QLD 4101. It opens on 20 October.
The winners of the 61st Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism will be announced in Brisbane on December 2.
