Netherlands-based developer BenVista has released a new photo resizing application, PhotoZoom Pro 6, which is usable as a stand-alone application and as a plug-in for editing programs like Photoshop.
Available for OS X and Windows, PhotoZoom Pro 6 is designed for enlarging and downsizing digital images while preserving maximum quality. It features BenVista’s proprietary S-Spline resize technology, which has been further improved to provide better detection of tiny details and subtle edges. During enlargement, these are now being reconstructed in a smart fashion, yielding lifelike results. New additions to the software include an option to enhance the vividness of photos, split screen previewing to provide live comparisons between different resize methods, improved GPU acceleration for increased speed, and new presets that were specially designed for various types of photos and graphics. PhotoZoom Pro 6 also supports Raw images both as a plug-in and stand-alone application.
Demonstration versions of PhotoZoom Pro 6 can be downloaded directly from the BenVista website at www.benvista.com. Upgrade options are available for existing PhotoZoom users.
