Offering industry-standard HDR10 support and an advanced colour performance for photographers, the SW271can cover 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space and 100% of both sRGB and Rec. 709 colour spaces. It boasts an advanced 14-bit 3D LUT to achieve Delta E values of two or better, along with Technicolor Colour Certification to meet the colour accuracy standards used in Hollywood and entertainment media.
Users can instantly switch between the Adobe RGB, sRGB, as well as Black and White modes via the SW271’s ‘Hotkey Puck’, a proprietary device that fits comfortably in the base of the SW271. The GamutDuo Mode enables simultaneous picture-by-picture operation in two different colour spaces, such as Adobe RGB and sRGB, or even in a black and white film effect. The monitor is also supplied with a detachable shading hood to block ambient glare for professional work and the hood can be used in both portrait and landscape orientations.
The SW271’s colour characteristics can be customized via hardware calibration with X-Rite or Datacolor calibrators and the BenQ Palette Master Element calibration software. Equipped with USB Type-C TM connectivity, the BenQ SW271 utilizes a single cable for calibration and video transmission. It fully supports height adjustability, base adjustments (Tilt, Swivel, Pivot), an integrated SD card reader, dual integrated USB 3 ports and video inputs for USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.4.
The SW271 is expected to go on sale in January 2018 at an RRP of AU$1599. For more information, visit http://www.benq.com.au/product/monitor/sw271.
