An exhibition of images from acclaimed Australian and international photographers opens today and runs until 21 December 2014 at the new Badger & Fox Gallery in Sydney’s Surry Hills.

The featured photographers include Max Dupain, David Moore, Olive Cotton, Bill Henson, Kusakabe Kimbei, Ryuijie Douglas, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Andre Kertesz, Robert Hausser, Frank Meadow Sutcliffe, August Sander, Willy Ronis, Robert Doisneau, Brassai Gyula-Halasz, James Graig Aninan, Eduard Baldus, Lilo Raymond, Eliot Porter, Irving Penn, Danny Lyon, Roger Fremier, Joel Peter Witkin, Gary Winogrand, Edward Weston, Brett Weston, Aaron Siskind, Willian Emmet Davis and Enrique Bostelmann.

The gallery’s collection of more than 180 images will display 40 on rotation throughout the exhibition.

According to the gallery, one of the exhibited images – a Max Dupain image titled ‘Your Girl is Cheating’ – “was first exhibited as part of The Royal Easter Show photographic exhibition in the early 1950’s and still has the pinholes from where it was hung.”
