The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is seeking applications to attend its inaugural In Focus Curator Forum and the BIFB + The Ian Potter Foundation Curator Awards.


The two events are professional development programs designed for national and international emerging to mid-career curators and photographers. The In Focus Curators Forum will be held over four days from 26 – 29 August 2019 in Ballarat. It is  led by eight nationally and internationally acclaimed directors and curators, who will conduct workshops, discussions and exchange of ideas associated with curating displays of images. Fifteen delegates will be selected to attend these sessions and each will be supported by travel and transfers to and from Ballarat, five nights’ accommodation from 25 to 29 August 2019  plus an AU$50 /day per diem allowance. Delegates will also receive invitations to all VIP openings plus the chance to be selected for the BIFB mentorship program.
