The 2007 Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards, which represent the best of Australian professional photography, will be judged at the Photo Imaging World Exhibition in Melbourne this weekend.

 

May 1, 2007: The 2007 Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards, which represent the best of Australian professional photography, will be judged at the Photo Imaging World Exhibition in Melbourne this weekend.
Images are critiqued through an extensive peer-review process which drives ever-increasing standards of quality, innovation and artistic expression among Australia’s professional photographers. Judging sessions are open to members of the public attending the Photo Imaging show and will be held on the following days:
– Friday 4 May 2007 8.00am-6.00pm: Advertising/Fashion, Editorial, Wedding and Portrait photography;
– Saturday 5 May 2007 8.00am-8.00pm: Illustrative and Landscape photography;
– Sunday 6 May 2007 8.00am-6.00pm Portrait, Science, Environment & Nature, Commercial, Photo Illustrator, Wedding and Wedding Album.
The 2007 award winners, including the prized title of 2007 Canon/AIPP Australian Professional Photographer of the Year, will be announced at a gala dinner held on Monday 7th May, in Melbourne. The overall winner will receive a professional prize pack from Canon valued at $20,000. Following the announcement of the 2007 award winners the Canon APPA travelling exhibition will tour Australia commencing in Sydney this July.
