The Southern Hemisphere’s largest photography conference, Aperture Australia returns to the Sydney International Convention Centre on the weekend of 22-23 June.
Following the overwhelming success of its inaugural event last year, the two-day event will enable amateur and professional photographers to immerse themselves in the world of photography. The event provides opportunities for participants to develop their skills, knowledge and connections by hearing enticing behind-the-scene stories and insider tips from some of the finest photographers in the industry. Six industry legends: National Geographic photojournalist Ami Vitale, Australian landscape photography icon Christian Fletcher, ocean photographer Ray Collins, digital photographic artist Tamara Dean, conflict photojournalist Stephen Dupont, and film still photographer Jasin Boland will talk openly about their most iconic work as well as the raw reality of the profession. Acclaimed TV journalist and avid photographer Ray Martin will host the event.
Alongside the conference talks and live discussion panels, there will be a new Emerging Photographer Competition, which will give a photographer at the start of his/her career the chance to jump start their career. The winner will receive a 15-minute on-stage interview with Ray Martin to present their photographic work, a double pass to the conference (valued at $990), an exclusive VIP dinner with the speakers, and a one-hour mentoring session with an iconic Australian photographer. To enter, individuals must complete the entry form at Aperture Australia.
Tickets for Aperture Australia are available from $495 for a Weekend Pass to $900 for a premium VIP seat. Click here for more information and to secure bookings.
