AOC’s New 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor

November 24, 2008: AOC has unveiled a new “Zifas” 2218Ph 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor that sports a sleek aluminium chassis, solid aluminium and zinc stand and soft-touch controls backlit with orange illumination.
The flexible Z-shaped stand offers a wide range of viewing angles and is able to fold almost completely flat when the monitor is placed on a desktop. It can also be used as an extensible wall mount. Designed for use as a sophisticated PC monitor and chic HD video display, the 2218Ph has a dynamic contrast ratio (DCR) of 12,000:1 and a fast reaction time of 2ms for pin-sharp images with no motion blur. Displaying up to 16.7 million colours, it meets key specifications for technical, graphics and gaming applications and offers a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels.

Other features include an illuminating touch-key that supports a “button-less” bezel plus a glossy panel to display a brighter and more vivid image. Complementing the touch-key interface is a colourful on-screen display plus i-menu Software, which enables users to adjust settings with a mouse. The new screen is HDCP Ready, allowing users to watch digital content legally and display high definition image without distortion. It also has an Eco mode with five display settings (Text, Internet, Game, Movie, & Sport) to meet different viewing conditions.
Five colour enhancement settings are provided in the Dynamic Colour Boost (DCB) sub-menu: Full Enhance, Natural Skin, Green Field, Sky Blue and Auto Detect plus a Demo mode. Picture Boost enables users to highlight a window anywhere on the screen and adjust colour in the highlighted zone.
