Illustrative photographer Andrew McConachy has been awarded 2017 AIPP TAS Epson Professional Photographer of the Year.
Andrew, who specialises in commercial, industrial, architecture and travel photography (and is also a qualified engineer), won the illustrative category for the second consecutive year. One of his images was awarded the 2017 Highest Scoring Print title.
“My images presented for the awards all start as a story in my mind and are then constructed to achieve what I initially visualised. Along this journey I often come up with something better than the original idea,” says Mr McConachy.
The awards were peer-judged anonymously by some of Australia’s most recognised photographers including James Simmons, Vicki Bell, Steve Scalone, Steve Lovegrove and Dean Mansbridge.
