The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) has established a new membership category specifically tailored to enthusiast photographers.

March 31, 2010: The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) has established a new membership category specifically tailored to enthusiast photographers.

Previously, the organisation, which was established in 1963, has exclusively represented the country’s top professional photographers. However, it now recognises that there is a sharp increase in the number of enthusiast photographers in Australia and has changed its membership categories to better represent photography in Australia. The decision is a landmark change in the eyes of the photographic industry which acknowledges the increased number of semi-professional photographers since the introduction of digital photography.
Benefits include discounts by relevant industry outlets, access to the AIPP continuing professional development program and the opportunity to network with some of the nation’s best photographers. For a full list of membership categories, benefits and joining fees, visit www.aipp.com.au.
